Pay at the table in Dubai: how it works

By The ServiceWire Team · Published 4 August 2026

The slowest part of a meal in Dubai is often the end of it: catching the server's eye, asking for the bill, waiting for it to arrive, then waiting again for the card machine. For the guest it's dead time. For the venue it's a table that could already be turning.

What "pay at the table" means

Instead of the bill-then-machine relay, the guest settles the bill from their own phone at the table: they open the payment link, see the bill, pay with a card or Apple Pay, and leave when they're ready. Staff get a confirmation, not a queue of raised hands.

Why it matters beyond convenience

One card, four jobs

ServiceWire's card carries the venue's four table-side needs on a single object: Google review, menu, Wi-Fi, and pay at the table. One card on the table instead of a sticker for the menu, a tent for the Wi-Fi password, and a machine relay for the bill. (Compared with a review-only card or QR sticker, this is the practical difference — see NFC vs QR.)

Honest note: pay-at-table involves your payment provider and your POS reality — setup details differ per venue. That's exactly what the demo is for: we look at your setup and show what the flow looks like on your own table, before you commit to anything.
